Hossein Akbari

According to a report by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Hossein Akbari, a 23-year-old Kurdish youth from Sonqor and Koliai (Kermanshah) and residing in Ghartchak, Tehran, was killed by direct fire from government forces during public protests on 9 January 2026 in that city. He was shot by live ammunition near Bagherabad police station in Ghartchak.
