Masih Beigdeli

Masih Bigdeli, a 14-year-old teenager and football player, was severely injured by gunfire from security forces on January 9, 2026, during the national protests in Khaghani Street, Isfahan. Initially, security forces shot at his legs with a shotgun while his father attempted to protect him by throwing himself over his son’s body. The agents then pushed the father aside and shot Masih in the face, severely injuring him, which resulted in his brain death. Four days later, his body was handed over to his family and was buried in Najafabad, Isfahan, next to his grandfather's grave. The funeral ceremony was held under security pressure, and only about 20 people were allowed to attend.
