Arshia Barari

Arshia Barari, 21 years old, and Iran's fitness and Kyokushin champion, was killed on Thursday, January 8, 2026, during protests in Zanjan by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic. Government agents initially shot him in the liver from a distance of one meter, and subsequently struck his face and back with batons. Arshia's semi-conscious body lay on the ground for an hour, and agents prevented any medical assistance from reaching him.
