Ali Liaghi

Ali Liaghi, 44 years old, married, and father of two children, was killed on 9 January 2026 around 8 PM in Dowlatabad, Shahr-e Rey, by a gunshot to the head. According to close sources, he had left home in sportswear to exercise and was killed after joining the protesters. His body was kept in the fire station opposite the Second Dowlatabad Square Park for three days and then transferred to Kahrizak. On 12 January, the family identified his body in a container in Kahrizak, still wearing the same sportswear. Ali Liaghi's body was buried in Behesht-e Zahra cemetery on 13 January 2026. Ali Liaghi was an industrialist and had an industrial workshop near the iron market.
