Omid Bagheri

According to a report by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Tuesday, January 7, 2026, Omid Bagheri, a 34-year-old citizen from Arak, was killed during popular protests in the city by direct fire from government forces, sustaining a fatal gunshot wound to the head. His body was handed over to his family at night after four days of his whereabouts being unknown, and security agencies compelled the family to bury him in the "Bazneh" area of Arak.
