Kaveh Eftekhari

Kaveh Eftekhari, a 20-year-old from Karaj, was shot on January 9, 2026, in the Ninth Qalam area of Karaj while he was assisting injured individuals. He was targeted by a sniper positioned on the roof of the Ninth Qalam mosque. The bullet struck his heart, causing his lungs to fill with blood. He passed away after being transferred to the hospital at 9:58 PM. On the same day, more than 20 other individuals were also shot in the heart or chest in the same area. His body was released on January 10, 2025, but authorities did not permit burial in Karaj, and he was interred on January 11, 2026, in his ancestral village, Owj, in Qazvin. Kaveh worked in a boutique and had a passion for singing, aspiring for fame.
