According to a report by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Amirhossein Sheikhboo, 24 years old, a Kurdish citizen from Layen County, Khorasan Razavi Province, was killed on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, during protests in Mashhad. He sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head from direct fire by government suppression forces. The bullet entered from the back of the head and exited through the forehead.
