Amirhossein Shadabi

Amirhossein Shadabi, a 20-year-old man, was killed on Friday, January 9, 2026, during protests in Shahrood, by the firing of a military weapon by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic. Amirhossein was murdered on Shahrivar 17th Street in Shahrood, formerly known as Takht-e Jamshid Street. Amirhossein was a conscript soldier, nearing the end of his mandatory service. He was a young player at the 'Kia Football Academy' in Shahrood when he was killed. Government agents handed over Amirhossein's body to his family on the condition that the burial ceremony be held in silence. Amirhossein Shadabi's body was interred in the early hours of Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at the 'Wadi Al-Salam' cemetery in Shahrood.
