Abolfazl Norouzi

Abolfazl Norouzi, a 16-year-old teenager, was killed on Thursday, January 8, 2026, during protests in Mashhad, by a live bullet fired by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic. Government agents fatally shot Abolfazl in the head in the Seyyedi district of Mashhad. Abolfazl Norouzi's body was transported by the public to Emdad Hospital in Mashhad that same night, and his family was informed simultaneously. Nevertheless, on Friday, January 9, his family was able to bury Abolfazl's body in Behesht-e Reza cemetery in Mashhad. Abolfazl had left school this year and was working in heavy vehicle repair.
