Tayebeh Korovandi

According to a report by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Friday, 9 January 2026, Tayebeh Koravandi, a 39-year-old Kurdish citizen from Asadabad, Hamadan, was killed by direct fire from government forces during public protests in the "Se راه Marlik" area of Sarasiab, Malard, Tehran Province. Her body was buried under security measures in her hometown of Asadabad. Her father, Malek Ali Koravandi, was executed on 22 April 1989 on charges of political activity.
